Meet Ronald Mugabe - Artist

I first learned about Ronald Mugabe when I was working for an international NGO that worked in Uganda.

He was one of a group of boys rescued from the streets of Kampala and supported by the INGO. I began to follow him on Facebook and bought my first piece of art from him for a friend in April of 2019. That started a friendship that has deepened and expanded. I was fortunate to travel to Uganda in September, 2019 and was able to meet Ronald and learn more about him. When I met Ronald he was thinking about giving us as he couldn't sell enough paintings to sustain himself.  Since 2019 we have sold over 200 paintings through my network, he has been part of art shows in London, Paris, and several cities in the USA.  He has purchased land and is in the process of building a house.  He still needs our help to promote his art and get more people interested so he can continue to grow and thrive.  He has a dream to help other artists in Uganda and to do that he needs to build a studio on his property.  He wants to welcome visitors to his studio and inspire others to dream big.  He would love to travel the world to tell his story and inspire others.
